I made many yummy discoveries at the house of Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Philippines. A) General Aguinaldo had a really nice picnic set. The plates, cutlery and glasses came with a nice case and little chairs. B) The house had an old-fashioned icebox and two very old refrigerators. C) The big vat out in the yard looked like an outdoor oven. It turned out to be a manual “washing machine”. D) The big vat called “kawa” was what they used for cooking food for parties. Now, it is a place for growing plants in the garden. Their formal dining room was also interesting. It had a map of the Philippine on the ceiling! :)
